this is cheep cheep. he's from mario. he lives in water levels. he's a fish, and also sort of a bird. okay he's mostly a fish but his fins sorta look like wings and he jumps out of the water so with that plus the name i think maybe he's supposed to be sort of a bird. anyways he'll jump out of the water sometimes but usually he just swims. and you can't jump on him in the water, so you gotta be careful. you can use fire to kill him though. it's remarkably logically inconsistent for mario's fire powers to work while underwater, and i sort of question the decision to make fire specifically mario's main special power when they also planned to make water levels. i guess they just really wanted a projectile that bounces along the ground and fireballs were a clear and appealing thing to represent this. better than just regular bouncy balls, like in Super Mario Land. that power was just kinda lame. wow this post is a long one huh. cheep cheep is just an interesting guy i guess.
